In the year 2020, a music unit am8 has suddenly appeared on streaming services. am8's concept is to "make art and music infinite", and they use a futuristic and retro approach to express themselves, using both digital and analog methods.
  
am8 debuted in September 2020 with "Florian ft. HANA + Kaori Takeda," which made a quick impact on the subscription scene. "Hatsukoi ft. HANA," an anthemic tune with a city pop feel, has been replayed a total of 220,000 times on Spotify, including both the Japanese and English versions.
In December, their first album "iDoM" was released on vinyl and digital.
 
 On January 2021, the full version of "iDoM ft. XAI", the last track from the album "iDoM", has been released on 7-inch vinyl and digital. Since May, they has been releasing remixes of songs from "iDoM" that have been reconstructed by a number of artists and creators as the "am8 killed by" series, and this series of works will culminate in the 12-inch vinyl album "am8 was killed by?"
 
On September 2021, they released a new song "Scala ft.MIZUKI OHIRA + KIKI TAM" on 7-inch vinyl and digital, featuring Mizuki Ohira from Japan and KIKI TAM from Hong Kong as guest vocalists. Then in October, they released "One More Time ft. HANA", a bossa cover of Daft Punk's classic song "One More Time", again in collaboration with HANA.
