There was a point when Anakim described his sound as “melodically rich and delightfully sinister.” But that was a past era. Those words were stacked on top of each other like rungs on a ladder he thought he needed to climb.
Now Anakim isn’t climbing. He’s building. Building something that demonstrates his unique artistic vision. This is Anakim 2.0.
The only word to describe his sound is Anakim, and its home will be his brand-new label, Celestial Body. His journey won’t be defined by another artist’s audience. He is attracting his audience around his journey and sharing it through his new YouTube series.
In this current era, he has booked international dates in Türkiye and a supporting slot for Kasablanca’s entire North American tour. He’s also released on Factory 93, This Never Happened, Running Clouds, and Armada Electronic Elements.
As Anakim 1.0, he won Insomniac’s Discovery Project, he was named one of DJ Mag’s ‘Bubblin’ artists to watch, Billboard Dance’s Emerging Artists of 2020, and was on 1001Tracklists’ “Future Of Dance” list in 2021.
But these titles are irrelevant to his trajectory. He has no interest in becoming what anyone expects. He is becoming only what he chooses to be.
