Andrea Canta

Andrea Canta - is a singer/songwriter born in Germany. She has lived and studied music in Great Britain, Cuba and Brazil, where she worked with composers and music producers in the fields of World music, Latin, Jazz, Reggae and Popular music. In Europe she has worked with EDM producers with which she has had worldwide chart success („Beachball“ with Nalin & Kane /„Free“ with Jürgen Driessen, Marc & Claude / "Adelina" with Oliver Heuss, The Greenman). She sang and recorded backing vocals with artists like Lee Scratch Perry (Jamaica), Nana Tuffour and Reggie Rockstone (Ghana), Marla Glen (USA), Roger Cicero, Ischen Impossible (Germany), Nosly Marinho, Gerude, Erasmo Dibell (Brazil).
Andrea has visited Cuba on many occasions where she took the opportunity to collaborate with musicians of the famous Cuban orchestra "NG La Banda" and recorded an EP in Havana. She also was heavily influenced by her time in Brazil where she fell in love with the culture, language and warmth of the people.
On her album „Jandaia“ which was released in 2019, the compositions are predominantly Brazilian rhythms. Her latest project is an Electro- Singer-Songwriter Duo called „canta boddenberg“.
Andrea performs in English, German, Portuguese and Spanish with equal confidence and passion. She currently lives in Germany and continues to travel regularly to Brazil. She is collaborating with musicians and artists worldwide.
