A songwriter from Baguio sharing his stories one song at a time.
Andrej Agas started writing songs at a young age and was first inclined in playing instruments. He took a job as a pianist at the age of 17 and played in famous restaurants in Baguio City. Eventually, he got his own gig in the summer of 2018 and has been active in the music scene since then. He also co-founded Sibol Collective, a rising group of songwriters, performers, and poets in Baguio City.
His songs have been featured in ABS-CBN's Bagong Morning Kapamilya, GMA Playlist, NET 25, EuroTV and iFM Radio. His single Lumayo Ka Na Sa Akin was included in Spotify's Philippines Viral 50 playlist. His songs have also been included in numerous editorial and personalized playlists by Spotify. In 2021, Laging Sa'yo was nominated in the 34th Awit Awards Best Traditional / Contemporary Folk Recording. In 2023, Paano Na Ang Bukas was nominated in the 36th Awit Awards for Best Ballad Recording. In 2024, Nang Ika'y Dumating was nominated in the 37th Awit Awards for Best Traditional / Contemporary Folk Recording.
