Akong Ayalam

Jose Delos Reyes is a Filipino singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines.

Jose started pursuing music at the age of 16 when he was in high school. He played at events at his school. He became more active in playing gigs when he entered college. Jose’s friends would often invite him to play at functions and university events. He covered songs of his favorite artists such as: Rivermaya, Bamboo, Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus and more.

Jose started writing and playing his compositions in 2009, which he uploaded online.

In 2013, Jose decided to use the name Jose at Musika, which became a full-fledged band the following year. The band started recording their original songs in 2016. They would often play at known establishments like B-Side, Saguijo, 12 Monkeys and many more.

In 2017, Jose spent most of his time travelling outside of Manila. He would still perform as a solo artist while doing so. He then decided to move to Baler, Aurora in 2018. Jose would still perform occasionally under the name Akong Ayalam. He writes and plays his compositions which talk about nature, island life, and love.

Jose is not as active as he used to be in playing gigs. But most of his performances and recordings are available on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and Spotify.
