Andrew DeMuro is a Chicago-based singer, songwriter, nonprofit leader, and lead singer of pop vocal trio, <a href="spotify:artist:3seG0a9YiS0Z5xlXCPW9vH" data-name="The Shades">The Shades</a>. Most notably a semi-finalist in Season 11 of NBC's 'The Voice', Andrew has balanced a life as an active musician, a trailblazer in public education, and an arts nonprofit leader for more than a decade.
While on The Voice, Andrew performed classic songs by <a href="spotify:artist:6zFYqv1mOsgBRQbae3JJ9e" data-name="Billy Joel">Billy Joel</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3fMbdgg4jU18AjLCKBhRSm" data-name="Michael Jackson">Michael Jackson</a>, earning praise from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:4bYPcJP5jwMhSivRcqie2n" data-name="Adam Levine">Adam Levine</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1hXjTjJzZTXDZ75AclOo6N" data-name="Sammy Hagar">Sammy Hagar</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:7EVlecngyrLHfQUqFMpwkT" data-name="Siedah Garrett">Siedah Garrett</a>. For the next six years, Andrew served as Regional Director for Chicago's chapter of Guitars Over Guns, while also headlining on renowned local stages including Chicago's House of Blues, Navy Pier, City Winery and Lincoln Hall.
Nearly two years after their sophomore EP, <a href="spotify:album:1pfpv1fb5v4LJfN8mLZh6y" data-name="Draw">Draw</a>, premiered to critical acclaim on Billboard.com, <a href="spotify:artist:3seG0a9YiS0Z5xlXCPW9vH" data-name="The Shades">The Shades</a> emerged from the studio in 2021 with a trio of new singles and ‘Live Again', a mini-documentary which follows the group to & through its first in-person show since the COVID-19 pandemic brought live gigs to a halt.
Andrew released his first solo artistic work since his time on ‘The Voice,’ a collection of songs titled ‘Kings, Queens & Quarantines,’ in 2023.
