Jeffery Austin is an American pop singer with an articulate, soulful tenor who first found the limelight as a contestant on season nine of the TV music competition The Voice. Born Jeffery Austin McClelland, Jr. in St. Charles, Illinois of suburban Chicago, the vocalist graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in public relations before relocating to New York City for work in that field. He auditioned for The Voice in the summer of 2015 -- his first time performing publicly since high-school musicals -- and went on to finish in fourth place on the show (though he had decided early in the run to pursue a music career regardless of the eventual outcome). His cover of <a href="spotify:artist:72OaDtakiy6yFqkt4TsiFt">Cher</a>'s "Believe" from the show reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Digital Songs chart. He also appeared on the Billboard 200 via his edition of The Voice: The Complete Season 9 Collection. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
