Cincinnati-born pianist, composer, producer, and recording artist Andrew Toombs began playing piano at age six and was performing professionally by eleven. At fourteen, he made his solo debut with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.
After studying at the Chicago College of Performing Arts and Berklee College of Music, where he attended on a full scholarship, Toombs built a career spanning jazz, R&B, gospel, hip-hop, funk, pop, and electronic music.
He has performed and collaborated with artists including Carole King, Common, DJ Jazzy Jeff, CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams, Bootsy Collins, and Roy Ayers. Drawing from those diverse experiences, Toombs brings together jazz, R&B, funk, hip-hop, and electronic influences to create a sound distinctly his own.
