Anja Elena Viken had her breakthrough with the songs "Klæssar deg ned" and “Gatekredibilitet” in 2011, with lyrics heavily inspired by the hip hop scene in Bergen, combined with innocent indie pop. This unique combination of raw and street smart storytelling and catchy melodies led to national media attention and bookings to some of the biggest festivals in Norway. For her debut album, produced by Matias Tellez, she was nominated to Spellemannprisen in the category “Newcomer of the year” in 2014.
