Anodos is the electronic music project of guitarist, pianist and composer BJ Block.
Block began his musical studies in classical music at a young age and was on course to become a concert pianist. Shifting gears in his late teens he focused his energy on the guitar, eventually attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston MA studying jazz and contemporary music. BJ would later go on to release two records with Canadian Soul Singer Dawn Pemberton, and became active in the Vancouver music scene. Currently residing in Bellingham WA, BJ performs with several groups and ensembles and continues to develop his love of electronic music through composition.
Anodos explores the relationship with the transcendent through religious imagery, symbolism, and striving to capture the mystery of those narratives through music.
