April Art are unstoppable. With their third studio album Rodeo, they have cemented their place among Germany’s top rock acts – hitting #26 on the official German album charts, selling out shows, and tearing up festival stages with pure energy.
It should be clear to everyone by now: This band is not here to make lazy compromises. This band doesn’t see a point in doing things by halves or settling for less. When they start playing, your half-empty glass suddenly becomes half-full again. April Art can do that. April Art are there for you. And they’re just getting started. Fasten your seatbelts, everyone. And maybe better put on a helmet. This is gonna be wild.
On stage is where their rock talents truly shine: April Art’s live performances are always a mean full throttle. With excellent and virtuoso guitar work, Chris Bunnell decisively shapes the modern and emotional sound of the band. Front-woman Lisa-Marie Watz, who performs with her charismatic rough voice to the verge of complete exhaustion, creates an intimacy with their audience by always keeping the crowd involved in their shows. On drums, Ben Juelg provides a loud and aggressive drum sound that is moulded by musical grooves and crisp fills. The band's sound is rounded off by bassist Julian Schuetze, who not only delivers the sound foundation, but also fresh, funky bass lines that make him an unmistakable part of the band.
