Artist and composer Arash Safaian was born in Teheran and grew up in Germany. His interest in music, painting and sculpture shaped his childhood and youth. He studied painting and showed his series of pictures in solo and group exhibitions, before moving to Munich to study composition at the College of Music and Drama. He has made his mark as a composer with orchestral, concert and film works, performed by international orchestras, music and ballet ensembles. His operas were performed in New York, Berlin and Munich.
