In a career spanning 25 years, Alexandre Tharaud has become a unique figure in the classical music world and a key exponent of French pianism. As a recitalist, Alexandre Tharaud is a regular guest at the world’s most prestigious venues.
Alexandre is an exclusive recording artist of Erato Records. In September 2020, he released ‘Chanson d’amour’ with Sabine Devieilhe while in October 2020, ‘Le Poète du Piano’ has been released. This features some of Alexandre’s best-known recordings on one album. He is the subject of a film directed by Swiss film maker Raphaëlle Aellig-Régnier: Alexandre Tharaud, Le Temps Dérobé, and appeared in the role of the pianist “Alexandre” in Michael Hanneke’s celebrated 2012 film Amour.
