Growing up in Leicester, Tommy Cobley, Matt Gore, Jack Hall and Ollie Dennis began playing covers together and shortly after began writing their own music. They met Steve Mayers at university and played their first show supporting The View at Leicester’s O2 Academy under the name Arcades. They released their first single ‘Kings & Queens’ and it wasn’t long before they were selling out local venues like The Cookie and the O2 Academy and playing UK festivals such as Y Not and the Isle of Wight.
After a long break due to the sudden passing of guitarist Matt, and a one off show for for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young, the band released comeback single 'Kiddo' at the start of 2019. Loaded with a fresh new music backed by BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music the band then embarked on their UK & European tour, including unforgettable shows in London and Paris and a sold out homecoming at Leicester’s O2 Academy.
Now, with their mark made in the mud and with the release of four singles - Arcades are hinting that new music is on it’s way as they prepare to hit the UK and European venues once again.
