Ari PenSmith is a singer-songwriter/producer raised in South-East London.
His admiration for music started at home in his early years, Ari's parents listened to a lot of RnB when he was growing up. At the age of 8, he decided to play the piano for his church as no one was playing it, this began his musical journey.
“I hate being placed in a box and I am never content with making the same music over and over again so I am constantly challenging myself...trying to write songs in various genres...Pop, RnB, Afrobeats etc”
Ari signed his first publishing deal with Warner Chappell in 2018 and has hit the ground running! To date, Ari has exec-produced his first album alongside P2J, featured as an artist on Kaytranada's song - 'Vex Oh', produced tracks for the likes of Jessie Reyez and written for Snoh Aalegra - His versatility is unmatched!
