Armchair Cynics are a four-piece alt-rock band from Canada, celebrated for their melodic, emotionally charged songs with a sharp edge. Featuring soaring hooks, powerful rhythms, and finely honed songwriting, their sound leaves a lasting impression.

In 2025 they released The Lost Tapes, a collection of unreleased demos and b-sides led by the cathartic focus track “Turn Around.” This energetic, nostalgic, and hopeful set of rock songs explores doubt, anxiety, and the power of finding strength through others, reaffirming the band’s legacy while introducing a new chapter in their story.

Their 2005 EP Killing the Romance captured the raw, brooding intensity of its era. This EP cemented their spot in Canada’s modern rock scene with its big emotional moments and high production value. In 2009, the band released Starting Today, an album that embraces their pop side and adds a more boisterous, expressive personality to their catalogue.
