Alexis Georgopoulos aka Arp is a composer, producer, recording artist & DJ based in New York.

His ever-evolving, genre-fluid work operates across sensory, speculative and historical registers, his combined interest in various musical traditions resisting assimilation into dominant cultural frameworks.

On releases for Smalltown Supersound, RVNG Intl, and Mexican Summer and commissioned works for film, fashion, & gallery installation, he has continually pursued new modes and concepts, challenging notions of identity, authenticity, and style.

Of his debut album, "In Light," Pitchfork wrote it was "the sort of thing I hope becomes a trend in electronic music." His 2018 album "ZEBRA," was named by The Guardian as the "N°2 Contemporary Album of the Year."

A frequent collaborator across media, he has worked with filmmakers, visual artists and choreographers — among them Savanah Leaf, Frank LeBon, Tauba Auerbach, Doug Aitken, Paul Clipson, Jonah Bokaer — as well as with musicians such as Neneh Cherry, minimalist composer Meara O'Reilly, techno producer Patricia and ambient producer Jefre Cantu-Ledesma.

His new album, "Drifts", is his most abstract and alluring album to date, conjuring emotional landscapes through glowing, elliptical loops of piano, harp, strings and modular synthesizer.
