Art Martinez Jr. was born in Texas, where his father was a worship leader in Rio Grande Baptist Church and taught his son to play guitar. During his final year in high school, Martinez’s father was diagnosed with cancer and later passed on. This led to a realignment and a revival with God, which sparked a desire to pursue music. With a drive to honor and worship God, Martinez continued to serve and search for opportunities to grow. Years after his father’s passing, Martinez was connected with Hillside Recordings, which he recorded his first single “Lighthouse”.
