Croydon-born Asha burst onto the London scene in 2016 as one of the most promising new voices in the industry with support coming from all angles: from underground station Rinse FM to BBC R1Xtra, her first release ‘We Can Do This’ saw her grab heavyweight online acclaim from the likes of PIGEONS & PLANES and THE405.
The bigger publications started to take note and her next two singles ‘Chapters’ and ‘Record Straight’ received support from the likes of THE FADER, grabbing ‘Song of the Week’ at BBC R1Xtra in the process. Asha’s strength and charisma stood her out as one of the strongest emerging artists in the city, picking up BBC R1Xtra’s ‘Artist of the Week’. Then life got in the way and Asha went into a hiatus…. until releasing the UKF Bass Culture banger “ONLY US” with Francois & Louis Benton and Riddim Commission.
