Renowned Oakland Based World Hip-Hop Ensemble and Collective, Audiopharmacy represents the power of Love, Music, and Collective Liberation. Spawned from Hip Hop, Audiopharmacy creates timeless music beyond any one genre. The ensemble is made up of creatives indigenous to Turtle Island (North America), Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, South America, India and Europe. Their sound is eclectic + avant-garde, yet rooted in the voice of the people and Mama Earth. By fusing turntablism, live instrumentation, global influence, poetic lyricism, movement, visual projection, and indigenous prayer, Audiopharmacy elevates the meaning, sound, and purpose of Hip Hop.
Internationally, the ensemble has taken the stage in Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Austria, Holland, France, the UK, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Samoa, New Zealand (Aotearoa), Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Ecuador, Morocco, Oman, Cyprus and Tanzania. Domestically, Audiopharmacy has performed throughout the US.
Audiopharmacy has also toured as US music/cultural ambassadors globally, and has successfully fostered cross-cultural understanding by leading community engagements, music and cultural workshops, and film showings/Q+A. The band has even received a Mayoral Proclamation from the City of SF for artistic excellence, representing the values of the Bay Area.
