The instrumental hip-hop duo of DJ Peter Parker and bassist Sneaky started performing as Fingathing in 1999. Peter Parker was a bedroom DJ discovered by <a href="spotify:artist:17yWcCF4X2x4Y6aoFqqJta">Mark Rae</a> of trip-hoppers <a href="spotify:artist:75WMfaHMMwtiMW8tfR92Pn">Rae & Christian</a> at a DMC competition in 1997; Sneaky -- a classically trained bassist -- was working in a popular Manchester club when the pair met. Their first full-length, Main Event, was issued in 2000 on <a href="spotify:artist:17yWcCF4X2x4Y6aoFqqJta">Rae</a>'s Grand Central label.
