Avec le soleil sortant de sa bouche

Canadian experimental rock collective Avec le Soleil Sortant de Sa Bouche were formed in Montreal by bassist/composer Jean-Sebastien Truchy. Formerly a member of influential avant rockers <a href="spotify:artist:1G9YfcWhpM0d0p6kCIaiGE">Fly Pan Am</a>, Truchy enlisted guitarist Sebastien Fournier and drummer Nasir Hasan for his new project, a largely instrumental band that fused Krautrock and funk grooves with angular, experimental indie rock. Over the following two years, the group developed its sound, adding guitarist Eric Gringas (<a href="spotify:artist:1G9YfcWhpM0d0p6kCIaiGE">Fly Pan Am</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5dRty8P59sgCqKh1BFD3zz">Pas Chic Chic!</a>) and replacing Hasan on drums with Samuel Bobony. Their unique art funk pieces made them a perfect match for revered Montreal indie <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Constellation+Records%22">Constellation Records</a>, home to <a href="spotify:artist:1G9YfcWhpM0d0p6kCIaiGE">Fly Pan Am</a>, indie instrumental giants <a href="spotify:artist:4svpOyfmQKuWpHLjgy4cdK">Godspeed You! Black Emperor</a>, and a host of other prominent, highly creative Canadian acts.
