Azure is a four-piece R&B band from Dallas, Texas. Comprised of cousins Mario, Ronnie and Geno Medina and long-time friend Douglas Y, the band released two studio albums to great critical acclaim, earning two Topaz Award nominations for 'Best R&B Album.' They also found success overseas when "Stick Around" hit the charts in the Philippines.
Social media platforms helped to renew interest in the band. As a result, Azure released '25th Anniversary Editions' of "Stick Around" and "You Don't Have to Lie" from their debut CD. Other 'Anniversary Editions' are expected to follow.
The members of Azure have continued to work together over the years writing and producing songs for other artists. Currently, there is speculation of an Azure reunion, but a spokesperson for the band has neither confirmed or denied the rumors. Here's hoping the rumors are true.
