B O K E H (sounds like bow-kay), the artistic alias of Berlin/Paris-based, self-producing artist Chloë Lewer, blends music, storytelling, and film to create an atmospheric, cinematic experience. Originally from Aotearoa (New Zealand), she draws on her background in acting and film to bring a dramatic quality to her self-produced music and visuals. Inspired by the Japanese term 'bokeh', used to describe out-of-focus backgrounds in photography, "B O K E H" embodies dreamlike, hazy, helpless and self-empowering characters, inviting listeners into moments of vulnerability, connection, and self-reflection.
