Lamalo

Formed by two Conservatorium graduates Michiya Nagai and Yossi Cascun, <a href="spotify:artist:0MvISt21mFvUidYNoIUMnA" data-name="Lamalo">Lamalo</a> generate sound waves fusing electronica, jazz, and cinematic dance music. Since their beginning in 2016, the two multi-instrumentalists have been delivering live shows in their home town Sydney and at festivals around Australia.

Previous singles have been strongly supported by Spotify, including an entry in the Spotify AU Viral Chart, with their single <a href="spotify:track:7ipmR7sCMFmzCrCQH3rHoa" data-name="Outside">Outside</a> amassing over two million streams. They’ve also been widely embraced by Australian radio institutions such as triple j, triple j Unearthed, FBi Radio and various other community radio stations. Tracks have also seen online support from Pilerats, Redbull Music (ESP), Acid Stag, Purple Sneakers, Discobelle (SWE), Project U, and The Music (AU). In 2021, the music video for <a href="spotify:track:3V1AOFXFO5fKqnLkR5YKrU" data-name="Inertia">Inertia</a> received support across MTV Australia and tracks including <a href="spotify:track:6jjBPcgkVeZsQqSD2MEZ1y" data-name="Feeling Love">Feeling Love</a>, <a href="spotify:album:70ijSNTdNmQRWorfHtJJ5j" data-name="Real Love">Real Love</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:track:3ONGhAk5acLC7W6753l0i8" data-name="Blue Bandana Baby">Blue Bandana Baby</a> (ft. <a href="spotify:artist:6XnzJ4EO9W93wWnPZCxXsQ" data-name="Kim Ven">Kim Ven</a>) received synchronisation deals across popular shows on MTV US.

In 2021, they struck a record deal with ONELOVE Music Group (Stereosonic, Festival x) and have kicked off the year with their highly anticipated single <a href="spotify:track:3V1AOFXFO5fKqnLkR5YKrU" data-name="Inertia">Inertia</a> followed by <a href="spotify:album:665ne3pMVWbIHNekU1awjO" data-name="Nothing This Good">Nothing This Good</a> and dance groove, <a href="spotify:track:2LJ8BGTqYQU4x2vrKDI4cq" data-name="Shiba Inu">Shiba Inu</a>.

<a href="spotify:artist:0MvISt21mFvUidYNoIUMnA" data-name="Lamalo">Lamalo</a> danced into 2022 in style with <a href="spotify:album:5zRhPdLLVEf8rmedqC3tZC" data-name="Five Three Five">Five Three Five</a> EP which included <a href="spotify:track:2SWrdnx3uKoDz48Po6fpjx" data-name="Jogging on the Moon">Jogging on the Moon</a>, one of the duo’s grooviest floor starters.

More recently, 2023 saw the duo launch their highly anticipated album, The Planets which was kicked off by their leading single <a href="spotify:track:4pHE6k4AOqC3HthZqH4DJE" data-name="Mercury">Mercury</a>.
