With a press release announcing them as "a locomotive sex drive down a trail of tears," Los Angeles quintet Babes offer a playful front for their lonesome, dreamy indie pop. Fronted by siblings Aaron (guitar, vocals), Zach (guitar), and Sarah Rayne Leigh (vocals, synths), along with friends Bryan Harris (bass) and Jeffrey Baird (drums), Babes are a close-knit group with a quirky sense of humor (they maintain their own hotline:470-BABES-77) and a keen pop sense that blends moody melancholia and shimmering sensuality. After signing with <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Capitol%22">Capitol</a> imprint <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Harvest+Records%22">Harvest Records</a>, they released their self-titled debut EP in 2014.
