After 3 successful years with Elephant Kind, Bam Mastro (Bramastro Srihutomo) has decided to take time between his group’s albums to share his personal artistic visions. His debut solo single, Idols, marked the beginning of his solo career followed by I Bleach My Skin, a concept EP where Bam makes personal remarks about the empowerment of his skin color. On his second EP “I’m an Albino Polar Bear Living in Captivity and I Know Aliens Don’t Exist” Bam speaks more about his roots and background where he doesn’t feel like he belongs anywhere. Born in Champaign County, Illinois, raised in places such as China, Taiwan and Australia, Bam has always been far more resilient when it comes to adapting to new culture without having to wage against his traditions. The 10 time AMI nominee found that there are stories that he could tell from his experiences living abroad throughout his life. Bam continues his work with his first successful project that has been named Best New Artist by four different platforms including Anugerah Musik Indonesia and Indonesia’s Choice Awards. He’s been known as a visionary and music icon throughout the country.
