Banda Brasileira project was born from an idea of their Neapolitan producer/arranger Carlo Gentiletti, with twenty years of sound-engineering experience, and aims to revisit Italian and international hits with versions that start from bossa through samba and batucada. The collaboration, contamination and union between Neapolitan and Brazilian musicians were the fundamental elements that contributed to enriching the project of Banda Brasileira which in fact defines itself as an open group because it arises from the intention of giving the possibility to whoever participated in it is not a mere executor but an integral part of the project. A musical selection for pleasant listening, starting with the female voice of Michela Montalto, singer and backing vocalist of various artists such as Eduardo De Crescenzo and Peppino di Capri
The debut album of Banda Brasileira is from 2013 and is titled "Radio Bossa" precisely because it is proposed as a compilation of international hits revised with bossa sounds.
Among the songs played by Banda Brasileira stand out among others: Smooth Operator, Streetlife, Cosmic Girl, Tom's Diner and Nothing Compare To U. In 2015 follows the album Passione Napoletana, a compilation that contains 13 songs by Banda Brasileira that take up some of the most famous Neapolitan songs including: Chella ‘llà, Funiculì Funiculà, Lazzarella, Dove Sta Zazà, O Surdato Innamorato and many others.
