Bathiel.
Bathiel is a black metal band from the dark corner inlands in Norway made by the shores of Mjøsa where inspiration flow. Bathiel has been in our minds for a while but didn't come to reality untill the spring of 2023. Guitarist and vocalist Remi was in the early 90's black metal scene in Norway and has brought this history and knowledge into the songs and soul of Bathiel. We want to stay true towards the original sound but also want to bring more harmony and feeling in our songs.
The lyrics represent what we are feeling and experiencing in our daily life with depression, anxiety, darkness, cold and our nature.
We try not to bring too much religion into all of our lyrics but sometimes religion comes to play in our songs, but that's not our main inspiration.
Bathiel's members age ranges from mid 20's to mid 40's, but we all have many years behind us in different bands and now have our hearts and soul in the Bathiel project.
Remi and second guitarist Jòrgen, are the driving force behind Bathiel
