Best Youth

Best Youth are an Indie Pop duo formed by Ed Rocha Gonçalves and Catarina Salinas. Ed and Catarina met on a beach in the South of Portugal, during the summer holidays when they were both teens.
Their debut EP, <a href="spotify:album:5SnpBvYNAeAvuXQdbLpx9i" data-name="Winterlies">Winterlies</a> , was self-released in 2011 and it&#39;s only single, <a href="spotify:track:2lPU7mFMsSfohnOGy18X3Y" data-name="Hang Out">Hang Out</a> was a big hit in of 2012 setting them on a 3 year tour.
2015 marked the release of their first LP, <a href="spotify:album:472pR0aqCydZ1XwsyxReu5" data-name="Highway Moon (Deluxe Edition)">Highway Moon (Deluxe Edition)</a> , on March 30th. The first 3 singles from the album <a href="spotify:track:3dpJsbOe55WL3PueuQC41o" data-name="Red Diamond">Red Diamond</a> , <a href="spotify:track:1hiY2m6znZGWIAQc8HAMKa" data-name="Mirrorball">Mirrorball</a> and <a href="spotify:track:5LjV9SihPZ44jJdMqFVFPA" data-name="Black Eyes">Black Eyes</a> reached the number 1 spot on National Radio and the album received glowing reviews. The tour included shows in the UK, Belgium, Hungary and Portugal where it ended on the main stage at Paredes de Coura 2016 FestivaI.
2017 began with Eurosonic Festival where they were considered one of the 10 acts to watch, and with a worldwide re-release of their album with 2 new songs. Their single <a href="spotify:track:0ixG6BAODqwVHRMr77K0kL" data-name="Renaissance">Renaissance</a> , out on 01/25/2017 was listed as one of 8 videos of the week on Les InRockuptibles.
2018 sees the release of their second LP <a href="spotify:album:2VHx6M2Lsho7MtZVf7VqIK" data-name="Cherry Domino">Cherry Domino</a> on 22/06/2018. The first single, <a href="spotify:track:0IrVIejOAMIHpcrwAGJHDN" data-name="Midnight Rain">Midnight Rain</a> went to number one on National radio and the second single <a href="spotify:track:62M71TjJR8NQD5DmCQif1Z" data-name="Nightfalls">Nightfalls</a> was recorded and produced in NY by Patrick Wimberly ( <a href="spotify:artist:6vWDO969PvNqNYHIOW5v0m" data-name="Beyoncé">Beyoncé</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:0SwO7SWeDHJijQ3XNS7xEE" data-name="MGMT">MGMT</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:2auiVi8sUZo17dLy1HwrTU" data-name="Solange">Solange</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:6LEeAFiJF8OuPx747e1wxR" data-name="Blood Orange">Blood Orange</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:7hAolICGSgXJuM6DUpK5rp" data-name="Chairlift">Chairlift</a> ). In 2024 they released the album <a href="spotify:album:732Ibs4ajlW14gXwAYc6eI" data-name="Everywhen">Everywhen</a> .
