Big Dismal is a rock band hailing from Florida, featuring vocalist Eric Durrance, guitarist Chuck Shea, bassist Gary Sobel, and drummer Corey Lane.

Since their critically acclaimed album Believe (May 2003) spawned three consecutive No. 1 singles and was nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the 2004 Dove Awards, and their contribution to the 2004 Dove Award-winning album The Passion of the Christ: Songs, Big Dismal is preparing more new music in 2025.

Among their many accomplishments, Big Dismal achieved three number-one radio singles and earned the 2004 BMI Song of the Year award for their hit "Remember (I.O.U.)," which topped the Christian charts for nearly a year. Additionally, their tracks "Rainy Day" and "Reason I Live" were featured on the soundtrack for Mel Gibson's ‘The Passion of the Christ: Songs,’ which won a Dove Award in 2004.

After nearly two decades of focusing on individual musical paths, the band members have come together again, having faced personal losses, including the death of a child, parents, and their beloved road manager, Dan Godwin. Reunited, Big Dismal is currently recording new music for their upcoming 20-year reunion/anniversary tour, with their life experiences set to be reflected in upcoming new music.
