Bittereinder is a three-man think/dance machine from the unpredictable city of Pretoria, South Africa. The combined skills of Jaco van der Merwe (lyricist, rapper, musician), Peach van Pletzen (musician, engineer, producer) and Louis Minnaar (visual artist, director, VJ, musical producer) lend equal impetus to the lyrical, musical and visual elements of Bittereinder, resulting in something closer to an audio-visual project than a conventional “band”. Bittereinder was formed in 2009, and have won two SAMAs for Best Alternative Albums. VOLKSVREEMDE VERTALINGS is their fifth studio album.
