Blaze Mob grew up in Kingston Jamaica with a rich musical family legacy. Their father, Garth Dennis was a member of 2 legendary groups out of Jamaican music fraternity; Wailing Souls and Black Uhuru. . Their uncle Joe Higgs is credited with being music teacher for Bob Marley and the Wailers. These are some of the factors that exposed and rooted them to Jamaican music at very young ages. They began exploring and performing on the boardwalk of Venice Beach, California in the late 80’s. Gyasi Gong and his younger brother King Saeed wrote the lyrics for a song titled “Eye of an Angel” which was recorded by Black Uhuru and released on the 1994 Grammy nominated STRONGG album when they were just 9 and 7 years old. As you listen to their music, you will hear the influence from these great founding fathers of Reggae. Firm believers in the phrase: “Unity is Strength” and “the Message is always in the Music.”
