Giark is the stage name coined by the artist, producer, and composer Craig Dixon. As the son of Bobby ‘Digital’ Dixon, the artist inherited his father’s passion for quality music production. The name Giark, meaning ‘to eliminate crosses’, sheds light on the need for more positive music out of the island of Jamaica.
Giark is on a mission to energize the reggae movement across the world, starting with the land of wood and water. He has been instrumental in creating music for artists worldwide including Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid, Daniel Bambaata Marley, Fay-Ann Lyons and Raging Fyah among others. He is currently working on a cache of new musical creations infusing dancehall, contemporary reggae and urban music with his own unique sound.
