Blodtørst is a Norwegian extreme metal band from Trondheim that started up in early 2019.
The band consists of members with interests and backgrounds from all kinds of subgenres of metal and extreme soundscapes. Despite the wide array of tastes in metal, the band, in its relatively short infancy, found common ground in the extreme. They bonded fast and joined forces to create the ever-evolving pulsating Frankenstein's Monster which is Blodtørst.
Spearheaded by Raymond Hansen (Bass) and Andreas Almvik Johnsen (guitar), the band eventually found its versatile vocalist in Mathias Jamtli Rye and after some time and line-up changes also a beast of a drummer in Mads Aas, and rock steady guitarist Dag Axel Aarset Loe.
Jørgen Alexandersen filled Dag's enormous shoes after Dag left to pursue other ventures. Jørgen delivered beastly sets of live shows and monumetal performance on the band's latest release, DALMUNR, before ultimately amicably parting ways with the band to pursue studies. Guitar powerhouse Arild Nilstad was brought on board in Jørgen's stead.
Together on a haggard journey to define and find their place in norwegian extreme metal. Whether it's traces of black, grind, thrash, death, groove, alternative or ambient, only time will tell what the band throws into the witches' cauldron - and how they lay waste to the world.
