Bo Armstrong is a Dallas-born, Nashville based singer/songwriter intent on upholding the Texas songwriting tradition. He has taken the stage with some of his home state’s finest storytellers (Jack Ingram, Jon Randall), telling stories of honesty, resilience, and love.

Armstrong’s full-length effort “If your tired heart is aching...” (November 18th, 2022), marks his third collaboration with producer Brian Douglas Phillips (David Ramirez, Rob Baird, Thomas Csorba) . Recorded in Austin, TX with the same band as his previous releases (an LP “Chasing Ballads” from 2020 and an EP, “Where We Are” from 2018), the forthcoming project tackles the importance of renewing faith in oneself. “We’re all weighed down with worry, but we’ve got to accept joy wherever we can find it. Trials and sadness can inspire a great song, but joy keeps us moving forward. And it doesn’t take much! The older I get, the more I realize that ‘small wins’ aren’t small at all —they’re triumphs, and they keep us alive.”

Armstrong has also started a series of philanthropic releases —Covers for Causes. His rendition of Billie Eilish's “when the party’s over,” recorded to honor the tragic loss of a friend, is raising funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Mental Health America. The second installment —a take on Dua Lipa's "Cool"— hit streaming platforms in June and is raising raising money for You Can Play and Planned Parenthood.
