The main character of a British children's television show, Bob the Builder was created by Keith Chapman. The story went that Bob (and his cohorts) were responsible for a number of construction, repair, and renovation projects in the town of Bobsville. This animated series was a huge hit in Britain, and eventually got airings in more than 30 countries and numerous languages. Voiced by actor Neil Morrissey, Bob the Builder -- and friends -- entered the compact disc market with the album Bob the Builder: The Album, released by Koch in 1999.
