Bård Ericson (born 1991 in Stockholm) is a Swedish producer, songwriter, composer, and musician who seamlessly bridges the worlds of classical and electronic music. Under the alias boerd (pronounced “bored”), he creates atmospheric, melancholic soundscapes that fuse ambient, trip hop, downtempo, and classical elements, often incorporating his own recordings of piano, guitars, strings, voices, and other acoustic textures.

He studied classical music at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and, since graduating in 2015, has worked professionally as a double bassist. He is currently a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.

His solo albums Static and Misplaced, released on the British label Anjunadeep, have garnered over 25 million streams and received recognition from outlets such as BBC Radio 1, Billboard, Mixmag, and Clash Magazine.

In 2024, Bård collaborated with Swedish artist Boko Yout on the joint EP Griot. The release was warmly received and showcased the duo’s ability to merge atmospheric electronica with Boko Yout’s storytelling. Its lead single, All My Life, received significant airplay on Swedish radio.

Bård’s other collaborative ventures in recent years span a wide range of notable artists, including Stella Explorer, Yung Lean, Kleerup, Omar Rudberg, DJ Haydn, and Erika Sirola.
