Jeremy Villecourt (AKA Croquet Club), hails from a small town in the South West of France. Formerly a lawyer, Jeremy's trajectory took an unexpected turn when a producer friend suggested a collaboration on a snowboarding film soundtrack. When they received their first pay check, the duo slowly transitioned to producing music full-time for global brands, and so began Jeremy’s career as a producer. But as the years wore on, he grew tired of working to a brief and creating other people’s visions, leading him to embark on a personal project in 2011 – and thus, Croquet Club was born.
Initially created as an artistic outlet, Croquet Club quickly transitioned into a serious music project as his music began to resonate deeply with fans on Soundcloud. In 2012, Anjunadeep contacted Jeremy to release his singles ‘Awake’ and ‘Cardigan’, and ever since, Croquet Club has been at the heart of the label, including his 2016 EP 'Love Exposure', in which 'Summer' had a viral Tiktok moment in the summer of 2023.
He has previously received support from international tastemakers and shows including BBC Radio 1 (Danny Howard, Zane Lowe), BBC Radio 6 (Nemone), SiriusXM and more and coverage from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, Mixmag and Indie Shuffle.
