Japanese producer, Yunosuke Senoo started his Myspace under the name of Lycoriscoris in 2009.
When he was teenager, he started music as a band but friends around him quit music little by little. So the only way he could was making music by himself.
The meaning of Lycoriscoris consists primarily of LYCORIS. He was attracted by the fact that LYCORIS has the flower language “looking forward to the day we meet again”. CORIS has no meaning. He just wanted to make the name a little more complicated and make it easier for people to identify the name.
His first release was in 2011 on a Japanese label. After releasing more glitchy, downtempo pieces than his current work, he began exploring more immersive and emotional music. After the release on KX (KOMPAKT's sub label), He released two albums and EPs on Anjunadeep that has been featured on BBC, DUMMY, KEXP, NTS Radio, etc. In recent years, he has released works on labels such as Just This, Moderna Records, NORR, Reflections, Seven Villas. And in 2025, he released a new album on Ki Records, headed by Christian Löffler.
He has played at clubs, bars, and raves in such as Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, Paris, Madrid, Turin as live-act so far.
He skillfully blends synthesizers and foley sounds. And continues to pursue the vision that draws emotion and nostalgia.
