Boots Electric is the alter ego of guitarist and vocalist Jesse "The Devil" Hughes, who formed the eclectic garage rock duo Eagles of Death Metal along with longtime friend and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme in 2008. The Greenville, South Carolina native, who also goes by the name “Fabulous Weapon” and cites Little Richard as one of his biggest influences, is known for his enthusiastic dance moves and unpredictable stage behavior. Honkey Kong, his dancefloor-ready, electro-rock, solo debut under the Boots Electric moniker, was produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode) and released in September, 2011 on Dangerbird Records. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
