For over four decades now, Boris Blank has been shaping the development of electronic music as a member of the Swiss cult band Yello. As an established solo artist, this sound visionary has anchored his unchanging DNA in global pop culture and is still regularly cited by modern acts.
He himself describes the tracks of the duo Yello, founded in 1978, as multidimensional sound spaces. Together with Dieter Meier, Boris Blank has been providing ever new impulses in electro-pop for four and a half decades with internationally acclaimed cult hits such as "Bostich", "Oh Yeah", "The Race" and "Limbo". After Yello entered the German longplay charts at number 6 (as well as the Swiss hit list at number 1) with their last album, "Point", released in the summer of 2020, Boris Blank is currently focusing on his solo work again.
After various film scores and the albums "Convergence" and "Electrified" released in 2014, the 71-year-old sound painter now presents his most epic work, to be released on February 16, 2024: On "Resonance," Blank's head-cinematic sound spaces unfold into vast galaxies of sound, with which the Swiss artist offers a fascinating glimpse into infinity from his studio on the famous Zürichberg.
