The married couple Carolin and Andreas Obieglo are behind the music of Carolin No. After several years in Berlin and the US, they have now chosen to live in the more laid back countryside of Central Germany, far away from the busy life of a metropolis. The music of the highly praised and repeatedly honored German songwriter/singer duo is marked by the unmistakably clear yet soft voice of Carolin Obieglo and the virtuosity of the multi-instrumentalist Andreas Obieglo, enhanced with the extraordinary compositions and sensitive arrangements of the immensely talented musicians that resists conformity and categorization. The duo took their name from Brian Wilson’s song “Carolin, no” that is part of the Beach-Boys Masterpiece “Pet Sounds.”
