Boys’ Shorts are a Greek DJ and production duo composed of Vangelis (<a href="spotify:artist:2J1klDQ6yB7ZLMybiZyIGY" data-name="LAGASTA">LAGASTA</a>) and electronic recording artist <a href="spotify:artist:0hOLtUJ33VGyOPhu4A49nT" data-name="Tareq">Tareq</a>. Blending house, slow techno, disco, and acid, their sound mirrors the energy and emotion of their DJ sets. In their own words: “We make people dance!”
They’ve released music on influential labels such as Phantasy, HE.SHE.THEY., Polari, Permanent Vacation, Future Disco, Iptamenos Discos, Live at Robert Johnson, and most recently, Correspondant.
Boys’ Shorts have delivered standout remixes for a diverse roster of artists including Hot Chip, Alison Goldfrapp, Poolside, Yuksek x Polo & Pan, Kasper Bjørke, Nick Warren, Woolfy, Boy George, Local Suicide x Lena Platonos, Daddy Squad x Zoot Woman, Casey Spooner, Joe Goddard, and more.
Touring extensively across Europe and the U.S., they’ve played iconic venues like Berghain/Panorama Bar, E1 London, Le Bain, Basement, Good Room, and House of YES, as well as festivals including Lost Village and WECANDANCE. They also opened for Hot Chip at Knockdown Center (NYC) and supported Alison Goldfrapp on the UK leg of her Love Invention tour.
In 2025, The New York Times named Boys’ Shorts one of “5 Artists to Watch”, cementing their status as one of dance music’s most exciting and forward-thinking acts.
