BOYS

BOYS are a dream pop band from London who formed in late 2014. After spending the first year writing demos and playing shows in and around London with the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:0T9yyggayix1EKjiq3hW2m" data-name="Fake Laugh">Fake Laugh</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6BToM88XrzNI6VL5GxazUq" data-name="Oscar Scheller">Oscar Scheller</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:2eg89iLHG4JMEUZQmFaxou" data-name="Trudy and the Romance">Trudy and the Romance</a> they headed into the studio in December 2015 with Max Bloom from <a href="spotify:artist:6l3BRLCpzfC8yxqf9thWAg" data-name="Yuck">Yuck</a> to record their debut EP.

BOYS released their debut EP &#39;<a href="spotify:album:2MokN9g4guMkKHgnndGZ2R" data-name="American Dream">American Dream</a>&#39; in summer 2016 and received positive reviews from tastemakers for their American influenced dream pop debut with tracks &#39;<a href="spotify:track:4VeLka8VV3vPlcXqnWq5xK" data-name="Nice Guys">Nice Guys</a>&#39; &amp; &#39;<a href="spotify:track:6Cbw78matPaaagbsSF1wDN" data-name="Off to New York City">Off to New York City</a>&#39; both being added to the Spotify <a href="spotify:playlist:37i9dQZF1DX78toxP7mOaJ" data-name="Fresh Finds Rock">Fresh Finds Rock</a> playlist.

2017 saw BOYS play their first shows in the US and the release of their self recorded follow up EP &#39;<a href="spotify:album:218tgPZB30nJrKqLtlRa6t" data-name="Dreamland">Dreamland</a>&#39;. The EP gained positive reviews from the likes of DIY, Clash Magazine &amp; Gold Flake Paint &amp; saw the third track from the EP &#39;<a href="spotify:track:1dSxsHR591gyFofip0tqDj" data-name="Why Were You Alone">Why Were You Alone</a>&#39; hit no 1 in the Amazing Radio top 40 chart. They ended the year with sold out shows in London with <a href="spotify:artist:14b8PuCbilMIPEgWlC4P5G" data-name="Penelope Isles">Penelope Isles</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:4pdoRs7yHNXakMobf8M9Oz" data-name="SASAMI">SASAMI</a>.

They kicked off 2018 with the release of their new single &#39;<a href="spotify:album:0B4kb1OvkX9EQDYcGsNW9L" data-name="Hollywood">Hollywood</a>&#39; which was written about their previous experiences of their debut US shows in 2017. The single again picked up glowing reviews from the likes of DIY &amp; Clash Magazine.

Following a return to the US in early 2019 with shows in New York at The New Colossus Festival alongside the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:7r5O7dHPATQwnRhDu0c0sR" data-name="Be Forest">Be Forest</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:721bfjbiX9Koqt2rO8PWOY" data-name="Lowly">Lowly</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:6IcfYALmhjyW2kJwRNXHJp" data-name="whenyoung">whenyoung</a> the band decided to go on an extended hiatus.

This resulted in founding members Ross Pearce &amp; Mike Stothard starting new project <a href="spotify:artist:31inVyE27qKCD4w0Kt32q4" data-name="Pizza Daddy">Pizza Daddy</a> in 2020.
