Bozzo Barretti

Bozzo Barretti is a versatile talent from São Paulo, Brazil, known for his contributions as a musician, composer, arranger, producer, singer, and presenter. His musical roots trace back to childhood, starting piano at five and composing by eight. Barretti's academic foundation in classical composition from the University of São Paulo laid the groundwork for his diverse career.

His professional journey began in 1975 with his band Mitra at the Iacanga Festival, and in 1980, he co-founded "Sabor de Veneno," significant in the Vanguarda Paulistana movement. Internationally, he performed at the Berlin Jazz Festival in 1982, highlighting his global appeal.

Throughout the 1980s, Barretti emerged as a prominent figure in Brazil's music industry, collaborating with notable artists and producing hits for icons like Tim Maia and Capital Inicial. His arrangements and compositions have influenced a wide range of music, recorded by artists across genres, contributing to over a thousand works.

Barretti's impact extends to soundtracks and jingles, composing for soap operas and TV shows, showcasing his versatility. Currently, he's reviving "Sabor de Veneno" and celebrating "Tubarões Voadores'" 40th anniversary, while also engaging in projects like "PapoPop" with Murilo Lima and continuing to influence the Brazilian music scene through his compositions, productions, and solo endeavors.
