Bree Tranter first came to prominence as a vocalist, flutist, and keyboardist for the acclaimed indie/folk band The Middle East, who rose to fame before disbanding in 2011. In 2024, the band reunited to support Zach Bryan’s Quittin Time Tour, including a special return to the Sydney Opera House for Spunk Records’ farewell concert.

Between chapters with The Middle East, Bree carved out a successful solo and session career. Signing with Gaga Publishing, she released her debut solo album Another Night On Earth in 2016, a striking blend of electronic textures and live band arrangements.

As a sought-after session musician, Bree has sung on one of Zach Bryan's songs from his 2025 album, she has toured as singer and keyboardist for Passenger, Thelma Plum, Matt Corby (with whom she toured full time with for eight years), and Timberwolf. And in 2023, she co-founded the duo Siberian Tiger, who have gone on to win awards and perform at Womadelaide.

2025 Bree celebrates the 10th anniversary of her breakthrough single Tuesday Fresh Cuts (6million streams)—with a brand-new remix by longtime friend Matt Corby.
