Peter and Kerry’s story runs in parallels.
Kerry Leatham, a songwriter, musician, and producer from Colchester, Essex, grew up in a lively, music-filled household. At 7, they discovered a love for harmonizing, which set them on their path. In 2010, they signed to indie label Tape Club Records, securing TV syncs, including Grey’s Anatomy.
Peter Lyons, raised in Southampton, followed a similar trajectory—borrowing tape recorders, self-producing music, and eventually signing with Tape Club Records. With a degree in Classical Composition, his early solo releases gained radio support from Huw Stephens and Annie Mac.
The duo met at Tape Club, bonding over The Simpsons and late-night rooftop chats. Their debut EP, recorded in Peter’s bedroom, led to BBC Radio 1, 6Music, and mainstream TV play. Touring with Lianne La Havas, Lucy Rose, and Laura Mvula, they built a cult following, accumulating 25M+ streams.
After a decade-long pause, they pursued parallel careers—Peter composing for film, TV, and the English National Ballet, while Kerry co-wrote and produced for Groove Armada, Shura, and Shingai Shoniwa, releasing a solo album on Ninja Tune as Roseau
Now, fifteen years after their first meeting, Peter and Kerry return with You, Me and the Moon—an album shaped by experience, maturity, and self-awareness.
