Australia’s Brendan Maclean was thrust onto the international scene with the anthem break-up single Stupid thanks to the cult classic podcast Welcome To Nightvale.

Brendan followed this up with a dizzying display of talent on his debut record funbang1. It celebrated synth-drenched gay pop artistry with nods to The Pet Shop Boys, Robyn, Kylie Minogue and The Scissor Sisters. It was Brendan's first chart success and the music video House of Air has gone down in legend as one of the most iconic of the decade, as per Vulture (New York Magazine).

His second album And The Boyfriends was a sharp left turn to alt-rock revealing a softer side to the bombastic artists pop soaked discography.

Fine, written by Meg Washington for the film How To Make Gravy is out now and won Best Original Song at the 2025 AACTA awards, Australia’s premiere film and music academy award.
