Early in his career, Texas dancer, choreographer, and singer Brian Puspos established himself as world known dancer. The Houston-born Filipino-American started dancing at a young age, surrounded by a family that also leaned toward entertainment. Later, he would develop his vocal abilities, focusing on smooth R&B delivery. On his online streaming channel, he performed acoustic R&B and rap covers set to his own choreography. Influenced by late '90s and early-2000s R&B like <a href="spotify:artist:1255GTUKNCLCTvH9ctD4cT" data-name="Dru Hill">Dru Hill</a>, Puspos uploaded his versions of hits by <a href="spotify:artist:2EMAnMvWE2eb56ToJVfCWs" data-name="Bryson Tiller">Bryson Tiller</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3TVXtAsR1Inumwj472S9r4" data-name="Drake">Drake</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0du5cEVh5yTK9QJze8zA0C" data-name="Bruno Mars">Bruno Mars</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:3jK9MiCrA42lLAdMGUZpwa" data-name="Anderson .Paak">Anderson .Paak</a>. <a href="spotify:artist:3jK9MiCrA42lLAdMGUZpwa" data-name="Anderson .Paak">Anderson .Paak</a> would later join Puspos in the studio, co-writing the track "Be Ready," which appeared on Puspos' debut EP, S.L.A.B. ("Slow Love and Bangin'"). The six-track effort arrived in early 2017, preceded by the slinky bedroom R&B single "Murder She Wrote."
